What is Waxing?
Waxing is a popular hair removal technique that involves applying a layer of warm wax to the skin, followed by the removal of hair from the root using a strip or hard wax. The Process, Guidelines, and What to Expect with Waxing
During a waxing session, the esthetician applies warm wax to the area being treated and presses a cloth or strip onto the wax. The wax is then quickly removed in the opposite direction of hair growth, pulling the hair from the root. Do’s include exfoliating the area a day or two before your wax to reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. Don’ts include shaving in between waxing sessions, as this can affect the effectiveness of future waxes. Post-treatment, you may experience some redness or sensitivity, but these effects usually subside within a few hours. It’s recommended to avoid hot showers, sun exposure, or tight clothing immediately after waxing.
